may I borrow a cup of sugar?



straight bark under curls of thick paper texture,
quiet follicles of moss atop her busty branches

past her messy, 
wet wart hair:
a view of her children, ADHD mockingbirds
muted, musty buzzes
yellow horns of overripened fruit

a big measurement leaf flips upside down,
sprinkling granular sugar under her fat shade




I collect the granules
before they dissolve into 
another refined, rainy day
